![]() Of the same historical age as Constanta, MANGALIA was erected on a cliff dominating the sea from a height of up to 20 m. The balneary and climatic properties of the city became well-known in the period following the great recession. The 50-100 m wide beach is covered with fine sand and stretches along 500 m. The access: By air: Constanta airport; By road (as with all the other Romanian Black Sea resorts) from the D.N. 39 (E 87): from Constanta to the south, either the longer route turning left at the kilometer 33.7 and passing through Olimp, Neptun, Jupiter, Aurora, Venus, Saturn, or the direct route of some 43 km; *from Vama Veche check point on the Romanian-Bulgarian border to the north, some 20 km; By railways: Mangalia station on the Bucharest-Constanta-Mangalia line. ![]()
